Full Journal pdf1997-05-10 House Journal Page 1822 SB 13 Representative Porter moved and asked unanimous consent that the House rescind previous action (page 1809) in failing to adopt the effective date clause on the following: HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 13(HES) "An Act relating to taxes on cigarettes and tobacco products and to the use of the proceeds of those taxes, and increasing by at least 35.5 mills the amount of excise tax levied on each cigarette imported or acquired in the state; and providing for an effective date." There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Porter moved the effective date clause. The question being: "Shall the effective date clause be adopted?"
